Colorado police claim a robber returned for more within two hours of robbing a Dairy Queen outlet. They received an emergency call about a robbery in progress at approximately 9 p.m. on a recent Monday. The caller claimed the robber was threatening the staff at the store with several guns.
Reportedly, after robbing the store of cash, the suspect attempted to carjack a vehicle occupied by a drive-thru patron of the store. This is said to have failed, and he fled on foot. Police say they lost track of the suspect, but received a call from the same Dairy Queen at approximately 11 p.m. The caller apparently claimed that the same robber returned to attempt another robbery.
As the suspect rushed out of the store, he allegedly attempted to carjack a vehicle along with Dairy Queen employee. Police claim he was unsuccessful and then fled on foot. After setting up a perimeter and using equipment with night vision, law enforcement say they located him in a field. Police claim he attempted to flee on foot again, but he was caught and taken into custody.
This 37-year-old man now faces charges of attempted robbery, aggravated robbery and felony menacing.
