Violent crimes: Alleged bank robber with sword threatens teller

For a person to be convicted of a criminal charge in Colorado, the prosecution must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The defendant has the right to present a defense during the trial to raise a reasonable doubt. This will be a challenging process, particularly in cases involving violent crimes.

A 39-year-old man was booked into a criminal justice center on charges of aggravated robbery after a recent incident at a bank in Colorado City. Reportedly, the man entered a branch of TCF Bank at approximately 11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday morning, carrying a sword and a canvas bag. A teller says the man ordered her to put $20,000 in the bag or risk having her hands cut off.

According to the manager of the bank, the alleged bank robber fled the scene after taking only $4,381 from the teller. He was then seen entering an apartment building at which he had reportedly lived since May. Authorities say he soon turned himself over, and they claim that a search of his apartment yielded evidence that linked the defendant to the bank robbery and also a robbery at a different location earlier in December.

Individuals in Colorado who have been questioned or arrested for violent crimes may recognize the fact it is wise to waste no time in retaining the services of an experienced criminal defense attorney. A lawyer can protect their rights and while adhering to the presumption of innocence and build a strong case to assert the best defense strategies. The ultimate goal will be to achieve the best possible outcome.
