One of many violent crimes in Colorado leads police on a search

Colorado is known for its beauty and tourist-attracting ski resorts. However, it is also a place where violent crimes often occur. Although some may want to lock up all those accused of murder and other violence-related acts, American jurisprudence protects each person accused of a crime by presuming his or her innocence unless proved otherwise in court. In order for the legal process to unfold the way it is intended, a suspect must first be apprehended and charged with a crime.

In a situation that recently occurred in Pueblo, police have gathered many facts regarding one man's tragic death. He was found shot to death in a vehicle on a recent Sunday about an hour or so after midnight. Authorities say they believe the death of the 30-year-old man is connected to a domestic disturbance that occurred earlier on the previous night.

A first-degree murder warrant has been issued for a 27-year-old man police say is wanted for questioning in connection to the man's death. His whereabouts were not known at the time of this writing. A public plea for assistance in the investigation was issued by police, asking that anyone with information regarding the incident, especially in connection to the location of the man for whom they are searching, call and provide an anonymous report.

It is obviously highly unlikely that all violent crimes in Colorado will suddenly cease. The law will continue to provide opportunities for each person accused of such a crime to build as strong of a defense as possible to present in court. Often, the process is made easier when a skilled and experienced criminal defense lawyer is retained.
