Filing a wrongful death claim can be worth the effort

The thought of filing a personal injury claim or a wrongful death claim after a serious accident can sometimes seem overwhelming. The process alone may not seem so difficult but when you combine it with the stress of coping with serious injuries, long stays at the hospital and having to deal with insurance issues or funeral arrangements, it can feel like too much of a task to take on. On top of that, some may worry that their claim will not result in any compensation, which can make the whole situation even more devastating.

If you have been injured in a car accident or your loved one died in a car accident because another driver was negligent, it doesn't hurt to reach out to an attorney. An experienced attorney has handled many similar cases and understands that the individuals involved are likely under some severe stress. The attorney will be able to start working on your case while you take time to heal from your injuries or mourn the loss of a loved one. If you have any fears that your case may be weak, don't let it deter you from discussing your case with an attorney. Every case is very individual and there is no one set outcome for every personal injury claim.

The families of two individuals who were recently killed in a car accident in Arapahoe County may be considering this very issue. The two individuals who died were hit by a driver who was reportedly drunk. The two individuals had apparently turned left onto a road when the alleged drunk driver hit them. One of the individuals was pronounced dead at the scene while the other person died at the hospital. Their identities have not yet been released.

The young man is facing one count of DUI, two counts of vehicular homicide, and several other charges. While this may seem like a cut-and-dry case of negligence, it still requires the necessary steps of collecting evidence and all pertinent information in order to file a wrongful death lawsuit. When a family loses an individual due to the negligence of another person, they should not have to also be left to deal with the financial fallout related to the tragic death.
